Welcome to UBBCP

UBBCP is an association of librarians, readers and book clubs in Pittsburgh. Through a united effort, UBBCP was formed to promote literary activities and events to provide community outreach programs and to spread the love of reading throughout the community.
Belong to a book club?

UBBCP is interested in working with you. If you belong to a book club and would like to include Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston and/or The WPA History of the Negro in Pittsburgh edited by Laurence A. Glasco in your 2008 reading list, we would love to hear from you. Call 412-721-9191 or email info@ubbcp.org to register your book club and we will send you a Book Club Kit for either book.  Click here to register your book club - REGISTER.

Want to start one?

If you aren’t a member of a book club but would like to join one, we can provide information. If you’d like to form your own book club at your workplace, with your alumni association, in your place of worship, or with a group of friends, and would like to know how to start, UBBCP can help (call 412-721-9191 or email info@ubbcp.org).
